Produced in collaboration with The Rugby League Players Association (RLPA) and association with the NRL, The Professionals is a documentary that investigates how the definition of professional has evolved in Australian Rugby League over the past 40 years.

Conversations with some of the games biggest names from each era provide a real and honest insight into the reality of being a professional athlete and how major events such as the Dennis Tutty Case, The Draft & Superleague War shaped the game we see today.

Central to the narrative is the role the RLPA has played, or not played in certain instanced, to service the needs of the players and how today, they are well-positioned to represent the modern professional.
